The V&A Museum
**The Victoria and Albert Museum** (often abbreviated as the _V&A_) was founded in 1852 and named after _Queen Victoria_ and _Prince Albert_. It is housing a permanent collection of over _2.27 million_ objects. The V&A has _145_ galleries. Its collection spans _5,000_ years of art, from ancient times to the present day, from the cultures of _Europe_, _North America_, _Asia_ and _North Africa_.
